It’s Olympic Fever at Luus, with staff, friends and family all so thrilled to watch Finn Luu, son of Luus founder Don Luu, compete at the highest level throughout the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Finn represented Australia in both the Men’s Singles and Men’s Teams events, with a display of class, skill, grit and determination, leaving us all feeling immensely proud of his and the Australian Team’s achievements.
Despite an impressive highlights reel, Finn and Team Australia eventually succumbed to their more credentialed international opponents, but not before gaining valuable lessons for the future.

The entire “Luus” family has seen Finn grow and develop into an elite athlete over the past 19 years, who has often spent time in the office and warehouse, helping out with picking and stocktake during school holidays. Unsurprisingly, he’s also undefeated on the Table Tennis table in the Luus Staff Room, although his uncle Ao claims he beat him on that table when Finn was 10 years old (and hasn’t played him since).
It’s been amazing to follow Finn’s journey from his home club Loops in Sunshine West, to seeing him and his teammates on the world stage in Paris.
It’s a bit of a golden era in Australian Table Tennis, with 3 players currently ranked inside the world’s top 50, all of whom are still in their teens! While we are still celebrating their 2024 efforts in Paris, it’s fair to say we can expect the boys to continue making Australia proud for many more years to come.
